I had Achilles tendonitis in my left foot back in 2016, which later developed into plantar fasciitis after giving birth in 2020. Despite going for physiotherapy and strengthening myself through Pilates, my entire left leg still felt off. I’ve always believed in physiotherapy, but something just didn’t feel right because even though I was getting stronger, the pain had spread—from my foot arches to my knees, hamstrings, and eventually my lower back. Finally found a treatment method, Rolfing that works on my multiple old injuries (numbness of thigh, plantar fasciitis (since 2018), trigger fingers etc.). Before trying Rolfing, I sought treatment from a hospital’s sports clinic, orthopedics, physiotherapy, TCM, acupuncture, tuina, ART and even did MRI scans to diagnose the root cause. The treatments and scans did not find any underlying cause and I was advised to rest and not do any active sports. The physio/sports clinic also mentioned that I had hit a recovery plateau despite diligently doing the physio exercises 4-5 times a week at the gym. At that point, I also noticed that I was getting injured when I did physio exercises which was baffling.
